Have you come across siloed systems and applications? (This is where software applications and systems within an organization are incompatible and do not ‘talk’ to each other.)

In this video, I talk about one of the main causes of such silos in systems. Fashionista is a type of leadership where initiatives are led more by trends in technology rather than by a strategic vision. My peer Rob LLewlyn calls it digital sugarcoating.

With such leadership, investments in subscription software or licenses are typically made with very little thought to the overall vision. This decision is made more as a justification to quicker tech adoption and digital transformation in such companies usually produce negative ROI.
